Rosamond Edwards retires

After a long and distinguished career in the public service, Financial Secretary Rosamond Edwards has now gone on pre-retirement leave and taken up a top position in Washington DC on behalf of the government of Dominica.

That disclosure was made by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit who announced that Denise Edwards, the former Permanent Secretary in the Public Works and Tourism Ministry is Dominica’s new Ag. Financial Secretary.

“Rosamond Edwards is now on pre-retirement leave and is now in Washington DC holding the post of Dominica’s regional representative at the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) office,” Skerrit said.

“We will continue to have access to her, she has had an extraordinarily exceptional contribution to the public service of Dominica. A very thorough girl, detailed, and responsible and was an asset to Dominica especially during the difficult periods.

“I have great confidence in Denise Edwards and is looking forward to working with her on matters of advising the government on finance,” he stated.
