Happi Bath Estate FC has continued their good form with yet another victory in the Dominica Football Association Premier Division League last weekend.
In a crucial encounter on Sunday at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, Bath Estate kept their championship hopes alive with a solid two goals to nil victory over LA Enterprises Bombers FC. Marcellus Bonney and captain Kelrick Walter scored one goal each after the first half ended in a deadlock. The defeat put an end to Bombers FC unbeaten run since the resumption of football action which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bath Estate is now on 29 points, just two points behind league leaders and defending champions Sagicor South East FC who recorded three goals to two victory over the struggling Exodus FC on Saturday at Benjamin Park.
Also on Saturday, Promex Harlem FC continued their winning streak with six goals to two victory over Petro Caribe Pointe Michel at the Almond Park in Dublanc. Audel Laville scored two goals while there was one goal each from Donan Jervier, Jarvis Humphreys, and Idonie Samuel. The other goal for Harlem came courtesy a Pointe Michel FC player. Shem Deluge and Burt Casimir scored for Pointe Michel FC.
On Sunday, former champions Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC edged out WE United FC by two goals to one in front of their home crowd. Ajaya Royer and Savio Anselm scored for the winners while the lone goal for WE United FC was scored by Ashwan Hill.
In the Division One League on Sunday at the Newtown Playing Field, Harlem United defeated Do It Center Mighty Avengers by four goals to nil. Christley Kernizan found the back of the net twice. Owen Maffie and Dylan Edwards got one goal each
