Dublanc wins again

League leaders and former champions Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC maintained their lead at the top of the point standings when the action continued on Saturday in the 2021 Dominica Football Association Premier Division League.

On Saturday at the Stock Farm Complex, the former champions scored in the second half of play to register a hard-fought victory over bottom of the table LA Starz FC.

After a goalless first half which saw both clubs squandering many opportunities, it was national player Travist Joseph that got the lone goal of the game to ensure that his club collected all three points and to maintain its lead as the competition intensifies.

Tristan Shillingford was named as the player of the game.

On Saturday at Benjamin Park, Happi Bath Estate FC edged out Connect 767 East Central FC by one goal to nil. Anderson Lawrence scored late in the second half of play. For his match-winning goal, Lawrence was adjudged as the player of the game.

In one of two matches played on Sunday, Valvoline WE United FC’s poor run of form continued as they went down by three goals to nil against Promex Harlem at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth. Harlem jumped to a three-nil lead in the first half after 31 minutes but added no further goals in the second half. Audel Laville opened the scoring in the 12th minute of play. Eight minutes later, it was two nil after an Ordel Francis strike. Brandel Richards made it three-nil in the 31st minute.

National player, Donan Jervier was named as the player of the game.

At the Stock Farm Complex, Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC and LA Enterprises Bombers FC played to a one-all draw with both goals coming in the second half of play. Omalie Rabess scored for Bombers while Randolph Peltier found the equalizer for Pointe Michel.

Kimani Thomas, the Bombers custodian was named as the player of the game.
