Etienne reelected

President of the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Glen Etienne has been reelected to the Caribbean Football Union Executive Committee for another term.

Etienne, who has been at the helm of local football for almost a decade now, was reelected on Thursday, 8th July 2021 when the regional football body convened its 43rd Congress in Miami, Florida.

Etienne, along with President Randolph Harris of Barbados, as well as the other executive committee members was all elected by acclamation.

The Congress which was chaired by President Randolph Harris of Barbados discussed the state of Caribbean football as well as future plans for growing the game.

Also in attendance at the Congress was FIFA President Gianni Infantino as well as CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani. Both presidents addressed the gathering and pledged full support to the CFU.

The new Executive Committee will serve for a four-year period and comprise of a president, four vice presidents, three committee members as well as three ex-officio members.

The committee reads: Randolph Harris (Barbados) President, Rignaal Francisca (Curacao) 1st Vice President, Jeaninne Wong Loi Sing (Bonaire) 2nd Vice President, Lyndon Cooper (St.  Lucia) 3rd Vice President, Richard Dijkhoff (Aruba) 4th Vice President, Glen Etienne (Dominica), Gwen Salmon (Antigua) and Eric Labrador (Puerto Rico) are the committee members. Sonia Fulford (TCI), Luis Hernandez (Cuba) and Maurice Victoire (Martinique) are the ex officio members.

A total of 26 out of the 31 Member Associations were present at the Congress.
