ACS 7-11 Pottersville Tarish United FC maintained their unbeaten record to date as the action continued in the 2021 Dominica Football Association (DFA) Division One League.
In one of two matches contested on Thursday evening, in the battle of the unbeaten clubs, Tarish United FC edged out Mahaut Soca Strikers FC at the Almond Park in Dublanc.
The lone goal which separated the clubs in this Group 2 encounter was converted by Dillon Alexander in the 54th minute of play.
In the other encounter contested in Group 1, at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, South Dominators FC collected their first points of the campaign when they held the previously unbeaten Blue Water Bath Estate FC to a two all draw. Shirlon Lewis scored both goals for the debutants. For Bath Estate FC, Jerran Sebastien and Malik Roberts with one goal each were the goal scorers.
When the Division One action continues this evening, RC Doctors FC will take on Wooty Blazers FC from 6pm at the Almond Park in Dublanc in Group 3.
Meanwhile, five matches are scheduled to be contested in the Premier Division League. On Friday, former champions and league leaders Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC will look to maintain their lead at the top of the point standings when they take on Middle Ham United FC from 6pm at the Benjamin Park.
On Saturday at the Benjamin Park, Happi Bath Estate FC will look to keep their championship hopes alive when they do battle against LA Enterprises Bombers FC from 5pm. Also on Saturday, at the Stock Farm Complex, defending champions Sagicor South East FC will look to put their recent poor run of form behind them when they come up against Promex Harlem from 4pm.
On Sunday, Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC will travel to Portsmouth to take on LA Starz FC from 5pm. The other Premier Division encounter carded for the weekend will feature Valvoline WE United FC and East Central FC from 4pm at Stock Farm Complex.
