Red Rock Bramblers secured victory last weekend when the action continued in the 2021 International Trading Group Dominica Cricket Association National T20 Cricket League.
In a weekend of cricket that was severely impacted by the inclement weather, Red Rock Bramblers defeated Jungle Bay Hurricanes by 26 runs at the Botanic Gardens on Sunday.
In the 13 overs per side affair, Bramblers won the toss and took the first knock. John Fabian top scored with 48 runs in a total of 117 for 6. Oswald George chipped in with 17 runs.
Bowling for Hurricanes, Terrel Toussaint was the most successful bowler taking two for 24.
In pursuit of 118 for victory, Hurricanes started very briskly but lost their way and was eventually all out for 91 in 12.1 overs. Raheim Prosper top scored with 19. Terrel Toussaint and Mikael Delsol added 17 runs each. Malakai Xavier contributed 15 runs.
Bowling for Bramblers Damian Thomas took three for nine. Clem Telemacque bagged two for 13 and Jamie James gave good support with two for 24.
On Sunday, the scheduled encounter between Go Sports Tremors and Convenience Plus St. Paul’s Cricket Club at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium had to be abandoned after 5.3 overs due to rain.
In the 26 minutes of play possible, Tremors won the toss and decided to take the first knock. When the proceeding was halted, Tremors reached 23 for one. Khamal Hamilton took the lone wicket to fall.
