Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022
A high-pressure system is expected to produce occasionally breezy conditions across the Lesser Antilles during today. Patches of low-level clouds moving with the wind flow could produce occasional cloudiness with a few isolated showers across the area during the period. By this evening, an increase in moisture levels can be expected as a trough system is expected to affect the area.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours, with waves peaking to 7.0ft. A High Surf Advisory is in effect for north-easterly swells. Small craft operators and sea bathers along the north through eastern coastline should continue to exercise caution. A further increase in swells can be expected by Wednesday.
Please note that a greater degree of cloudiness, more frequent rainfall, and higher rainfall amounts are normally experienced across the east coast and interior of Dominica.
