Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 6:00 AM on Wednesday, October 5, 2022

A tropical wave with an associated area of low pressure is expected to affect the area during the next 12 to 24 hours. This is expected to result in heavy showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, particularly over the islands to the south of the Lesser Antilles. The system remains disorganized at present and is likely to further develop over the waters of the southern Caribbean Sea. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rock should be on the alert for possible isolated, heavy showers on the island.

Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking at 8.0ft along the eastern coast tomorrow. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for above-normal seas. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Sea-bathers should stay out of the water.
