Two cheques were given to the Dominica Ameture Athletics Association (DAAA) one from the Government of Dominica and the other from the Dominica Olympic Committee (DOC) as the team participates in the 51st CARIFTA Games in Grenada.

Dominica has four athletics at the games in Grenada which commences from March 30, 2024, to April 1, 2024.

Before departing for the games, words of advice came from Sports Co-ordinator Trevor Shillingford, DAAA President Brendon Williams, DOC Secretary Fenella Wenham-Sheppard, and Oscar George, Minister of State in the Ministry of Sports.

They all urged the athletes to “work hard, be proud, make Dominica proud as they are ambassadors of the country.”
