Lewis nets hat-trick to pilot club to victory

Denise Charles Pointe Michel FC secured their second victory in the 2021 Dominica Football Association Division (DFA) One League.

In their 4th Group 1 encounter at the Almond Park in Dublanc, Kieran Lewis netted a hattrick as the Pointe Michel FC defeated Kensborough United by four goals to one on Thursday in one of two encounters contested. Demero Jno Lewis was the other goal scorer for the winners. Harris Charles scored the lone goal for Kensborough United.

In the other match played in Group 3, South East FC edged out BAA Sharks FC by one goal to nil at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth.

Meanwhile, when the Division One action continues this weekend, Wayne George Football Academy will take on All Saints FC at the Almond Park in Dublanc from 6 pm in a Group 1 encounter.

On Saturday at the Newtown Playing Field from 4 pm, Derby Boyz FC will face Busta Warner FC in Group 2. In the only Division One match carded for Sunday, LA Starz FC will do battle against Itassi United FC from 4 pm at the Almond Park in Dublanc in Group 3.

When the Premier Division action continues, Promex Harlem and LA Starz FC will square off against each other at Benjamin Park on Friday from 6 pm.

On Saturday, in one of two scheduled encounters, the back-to-back defending league champions Sagicor South East FC will take on Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC at the Benjamin Park from 5 pm.

In the other encounter carded for Saturday at the Stock Farm Complex, Connect 767 East Central FC will take on Middle Ham United FC from 4 pm in a crucial fixture for both clubs

On Sunday from 4 pm at the Stock Farm Complex, Happi Bath Estate FC will take on Valvoline WE United FC while at the Benjamin Park, LA Enterprises Bombers FC will be home to former champions and league leaders Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC from 5 pm in what is expected to be a very exciting affair. The last time both clubs met, the encounter ended two goals apiece.
