The police in Dominica say they are conducting investigations into a report of “armed burglary” that occurred on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 10:30 pm at Belmount Belfast at the home of Chinese nationals who resides in a three-story building.
According to acting Superintendent of Police in charge of the Southern Division Leanna Edwards, seven (7) assailants armed with “two short guns, knives and cutlasses entered the ground floor of the building as trespassers and demanded money from the occupants at gunpoint.”
“During the incident, the assailants made away with an unspecified amount of cash, four cell phones, and an unspecified amount of electronic dives,” she said. As investigations continue in the matter, the police are making an appeal with anyone with information about the incident to contact Police Headquarters at 611-5100/611-5158, the Mahaut Police Station at 91460, and Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
