
Prominent Dominican attorney Ronald Charles is now in police custody and has been told by investigating officer Inspector Fixton Henderson that he is “arrested relating to the March 19, 2025 protest.”
Charles was among the protestors at the meeting and also spoke. He is a former opposition senator in the Dominica House of Assembly and a member of the United Workers Party (UWP).
Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm that on April 8, 2025, eight police officers went to the law chambers of Charles, seeking to arrest him.
Charles, on April 9, 2025, together with his attorneys Geoffrey Letang from Zenith Law Chambers went to police headquarters where he was formally arrested.
He has since been interviewed in the presence of his attorneys and remains in police custody pending the next course of action.
Attorney Charles and Joshua Francis have been at the forefront of representing the persons who have so far been arrested by the police.
It is now at a point of WHO HAS NOT BEEN ARRESTED IN DOMINICA!
