Two individuals, namely Jamaal Ismael Alexis of Silver Lake and Sherlon Ryner of Mahaut, who have been arrested and charged with the murder of Jean Yves Bruno of Canefield and the attempted murder of Curtison Charles of Silver Lake near the Bath Estate Bridge on 8th July 2025, have made their first court appearances.
Both men appeared before a Roseau Magistrate, where the charges were read to them. They were not required to enter a plea since murder and attempted murder are both indictable matters to be tried at the High Court before a Judge and Jury.
They are represented in the matter by lawyer Gina Abraham Thomas, while the State was represented by State attorney Gabrielle St. Hilaire.
They were both remanded to prison pending the P.I, which was adjourned to 7th December 2026.
