Connect 767 East Central FC continued to struggle as they suffered yet another defeat on Wednesday evening as the action continued in the 2021 Dominica Football Association Premier Division League.
In a rescheduled encounter contested as the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, East Central FC went down to former champions and league leaders Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC by three goals to one to secure their 10th victory of the season and to maintain their position at the top of the point standings.
National player Reon Cuffy opened the scoring for East Central FC in the 22nd minute of play when he converted. His strike, however, was canceled a mere four minutes later when midfielder Briel Thomas scored.
Shikel St. Marie secured the advantage for his club when he scored in the 34th minute of play to give his club the two goals to one advantage heading into the interval.
The deal was sealed in the 82nd minute of play when Travist Joseph converted. For his exploits, Briel Thomas was adjudged as the player of the game.
The Premier Division action will continue this weekend with five matches scheduled for the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth and the Almond Park in Dublanc.
