Police in Dominica is carrying out investigations into the discovery of “what appears to be human remains found at sea off the coast of Bioche on Monday 15, August 2022 at about 1 pm.”
According to acting Inspector of Police Fixton Henderson, on August 15, 2022, fishermen from Colihaut while at sea found what appeared to be “human remains.”
“It was found outside the coast of Bioche within a radius of 1 nautical mile from the shoreline,” he said.
The human remains have been secured by officers of the coast Guard Base and are now at a funeral home as the police continue their investigations into the matter.
Police are in search of Bioche resident Huron Vidal who was last seen on the morning of August 11, 2022, while heading out to sea.
