Another overseas player added to Dominica Women’s Football team

Squad Announced for Road to W Gold Cup Matches in Suriname

ROSEAU, November 21, 2023: The coaching staff of the Dominica National Senior Women’s Football Team has added a new overseas-based defender to its squad, ahead of group-stage matches in Concacaf’s Road to W Gold Cup in Suriname.

Selena Lancaster, from Canada, joins the team for the first time, while another Canada-based player- Tafari Natti Bertrand- will make a comeback after some years.

Another change is the addition of Kezzy Vigilant, who has been recalled since she last played for the team, in its home match against Suriname in the opening round of the 2023 Road to W Gold Cup.

Dominica will host its home match in Suriname against Guyana on Wednesday, November 29, and on Sunday, December 3 will face Suriname for an away match. Both games take place at the Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadium. The Guyana and Suriname matches are the team’s fifth and sixth matches respectively in Group A League B of the 2023 Women’s Gold Cup Qualifier.

Tafari Natti Bertrand (overseas-based)- China Tulloch.

The team leaves for Suriname on Friday, November 24.
